ʻŌlena

We add to our Waʻa Collection with our second design, ʻŌlena. Also known as Hawaiian Turmeric, this Polynesian-introduced plant has many uses - practical, ceremonial, and medicinal, and is highly valued not just in Hawaiʻi, but across the Pacific. One of the most striking things about its appearance is the large, fragrant flower that is usually white or purplish-white and is made up of many smaller flowers. ʻŌlena is also another word for "yellow" in Hawaiian, which perfectly describes the bright orange-yellow color of the prized rhizome. 

ʻŌlena is featured on a number of styles including: Welo Capri Jumpers, Pūlama Tops, Hoapili Tops, Welo Tops, Pumehana Cardigans, and Kaila Capris.

Like all of our collection designs, ʻōlena is a limited edition so make sure to get it while you can! Once we complete the release of our Waʻa Collection in Spring of 2025, we will slowly start to phase the Waʻa Collection designs out to make way for a new collection.
